INTERCONNECTED is a website hosting a manifesto and an essay about the role of the designer in society and social responsibility. The aim of this website is to discuss the social issues surrounding design and encourage designers, students and individuals to consider their own ethical views.

THE DESIGNER INTERCONNECTED is the idea of the designer connecting their everyday life with their job as a designer, and interconnecting this with a global view of the world through new technology. Interconnection means working with clients, audiences and other collaborative people in new ways. The individual designer takes responsibility for how they want to live in the world, and use technology to help become more aware of the society the ever-changing global environment. Most of all, the interconnected designer needs to look at the implication of their role in society and keep in mind what affect their work will have on people.
